Many idols were our wants,
Greed just left us wanting more.
We ruined many friendships,
Our choices were so often poor!
The years were passing quickly.
Courtships often passed away.
Our marriages and children,
Were sacrificed along life's way.
The years can pass so quickly.
Disappointments everywhere.
Through pain we try to fake it,
As if we really just don't care.
All sin has a price to pay,
Now, or on a future day.
Sin has penalty or loss.
God will have the final say.
Sometimes it's abject failure,
That will open up our eyes.
It is only God's true Word,
That can dispel the Devil's lies!

Belief can fine'ly give you rest.
